Presentation:

Join us at the April 27th ASQ Dallas Chapter meeting to expand your knowledge and thoughts about opportunities to engage in a journey to performance excellence. Our two presenters are recognized as Fellows by the Quality Texas Foundation. The Fellows designation is the highest level recognition of achievement for individual service and contributions to QTF. It is given for outstanding, long-term service in a variety of leadership roles that contribute substantially to the achievement of the QTF mission, vision, programs, activities, and goals, and that resulted in positive impacts/contributions to the sustainability of QTF.
The first presentation will focus on the role of an Examiner for Quality Texas or the Baldrige National program. Barry and Genie will share “What’s in it for you?” and the impact you can make for your organization or those you work with. They will share their combined experience of over 50 years highlighting what Examiners learn, what Examiners contribute to the assessment process, and why being an Examiner can help you meet your goals. Yes, the transfer of learning from being an Examiner can positively affect all aspects of your life – come learn about being an Examiner and consider it for your personal growth and success.
The second presentation will shift focus from the individual Examiner topic to a focus on an organization that elects to pursue excellence using assessments and the Baldrige criteria. Barry will share his insights on the positive difference made for an organization as well as candid responses to the questions: “What does it really take to do this?” and “How do we get started?”. Genie will add her experiences and knowledge of working in organizations that embraced the criteria as their framework for improvement and performance excellence. She will share stories of 2 organizations that were selected as recipients of the Baldrige Award and 1 organization that was a recipient of the Quality Texas award. In addition, Genie will also answer the question: “What happened next – did it really matter?”.
