September 2017 Professional Development Meeting (Archive)

Attend the September 28th ASQ Dallas Section Professional Development Meeting to learn about how quality and best practice methodologies have been applied at UT Southwestern Hospital network gain the prestigious Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification.

Our speaker Ms. Amanda Dirickson MS, ANP-C, APRN, SCRN is the Stroke Outreach Coordinator, APN Supervisor and Senior Clinical Provider for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics, Stroke Division.

A native of Texas, Amanda received both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. In 2008, she joined UT Southwestern Medical Center and began work with the institutional leadership on building the University’s Comprehensive Stroke Center. It remains the only Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in North Texas. Along with clinical duties of care and treatment of stroke patients, Mandy’s role includes clinical leadership to the program and coordination of stroke outreach, including telestroke services as a Senior Clinical Provider

Hurricane Harvey Relief funds

At this months meeting we will be taking Hurricane Harvey Relief Funds. For every donation of $20.00 or more in gift card will receive a free ticket good for use at any ASQ PD Dinner meetings in the remaining 2017 meetings or any of the future 2018 PD Meetings.
